This Privacy Policy describes how Atoming Apps Dev ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the mobile application Cooked (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we process

The App is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically, we process:

• Photos you submit. When you take or pick a photo for a roast, the image is resized on your device and transmitted to our backend solely to generate a roast. Photos are not stored on our servers, are not used for training, and are not shared beyond what is necessary to obtain the AI-generated response. Each image is processed in memory and discarded immediately after the response is returned.
• Anonymous user identifier. The App uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to generate a random user ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any account. We use it only to enforce the free daily roast quota (5 per day).
• Quota and usage counters. A per-day counter (e.g. quotas/{anonymous-id}/days/2026-05-28) is stored in Firebase Firestore to track how many roasts you have used today. It contains no personal data.
• Technical/diagnostic data. Standard server logs (timestamp, error codes, approximate request size) are kept transiently for reliability and abuse prevention. These logs do not contain image content.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or address.
• We do not require account creation.
• We do not collect contacts, location, microphone, or calendar data.
• We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
• We do not display third-party advertising or ad-tracking identifiers.

3. How your photo is used

When you submit a photo, the App sends the resized image to a Firebase HTTPS Function operated by us. That function forwards the image to Google’s Gemini 1.5 Flash API with a prompt that asks for a short, humorous roast. Google processes the image under its own API terms and does not use API content to improve its generative models. The response is returned to your device and displayed. Neither the image nor the roast is persisted on our servers after the response is sent.

4. Third-party services

The App relies on the following third parties to function. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google Gemini API (generative AI processing of submitted photos) — ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
• Google Play Services (app distribution and crash reporting) — policies.google.com/privacy

5. Data retention

Photos are not retained beyond the lifetime of a single request (seconds). Anonymous quota counters reset daily and old records are deleted after 30 days. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging, then automatically purged.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that may have submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete any associated records.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect identifying information, we generally cannot link a request to a specific person. However, you may:

• Delete your local data by uninstalling the App, which removes the anonymous identifier from your device.
• Request deletion of any anonymous quota record by emailing us your anonymous user ID (visible in the App’s Settings screen, if available).
• Where applicable (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, etc.), exercise your rights of access, correction, and deletion by contacting us.

8. Security

All traffic between the App and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase services are protected by Google’s security infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; please use the App responsibly and do not submit photos containing sensitive personal information.

9. International transfers

Our backend runs on Google Cloud infrastructure and may process requests in data centers located outside your country, including the United States. By using the App you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
